MULTIPLE WATER BUTT SETUP - RAINPOD

Unlimited Rainwater

Adding multiple water butts is a fast and easy way to increase your rainwater capacity. This method you can connect as many water butts as your available space will allow.

Using the same rule as connecting to a single water butt, simply keep all your water butts the same level and more importantly ensure they are all slightly higher than the rain diverter to prevent over flowing.

Scattered Water Butts

Scattering your water butts is yet another great way so save as much rainwater as possible.

You may be limited in space in one area where you may only be able to have a couple of water butts, however behind the shed may have space for six extra giving you a total of eight water butts.

TOP TIP: Using the same rule as connecting to a single water butt, simply keep all your water butts the same level and more importantly ensure they are all slightly higher than the rain diverter to prevent over flowing.

Scattered Water Butts: Low level gardens

This is a really great way of incorporating a RAINPOD system and having multiple water butts if your garden level is lower to your RAINPOD.

For this to work, you will need at least one water butt at the correct level to your RAINPOD. This will enable you access all the water this water butt from your RAINPOD.

All your other water butts can then be positioned in the lower part of your garden. To find out more how to do this, please click here.

Daisy Chain

To connect your water butts together, we use a method called "daisy chain".

To "daisy chain" your water butts you simply cut your hose pipe at the bottom of your first water butt, connect a "T" piece, connect one outlet to the water butt tap, then the other to your next water butt and so on...

"T" Connector 1"

We cater for 1" hose pipes which are all available in our shop. For a faster flow rate we recommend using 1"hose to connect your water butts to your RAINPOD.

We would also recommend to use jubilee clips to ensure a water tight seal when connecting hose pipe to your "t" piece.
